Dean Isaacson, Gene Weber and Kevin Bernhardt, volunteers with the PHS Scholarship Fund, have been visiting with local residents, PHS graduates and businesses sharing information about the costs of post-secondary education, the talented members of the PHS Class of 2013, and the need for scholarship support for these students.

During a recent visit with Jim Rosemeyer, owner of the Rosemeyer Management Group, Weber and Bernhardt received a 5-year, $2000 per year commitment from Rosemeyer Management Group to fund a scholarship for a graduating PHS student. Rosemeyer, a native Plattevillian, is well known as a chiropractic practitioner for over 25 years in Southwest Wisconsin. The former owner of Rosemeyer Chiropractic, Rosemeyer has a number of additional business interests and founded Rosemeyer Management Group, a firm dedicated to creating financial strategies for life, in 2011.

In making the scholarship commitment Rosemeyer noted, “Lorri and I are both graduates of Platteville High School as are our four sons. We have been long-time supporters of education in Platteville, both through St Mary’s School and the public schools. As Platteville natives, we are interested in giving back to our home community and in providing an opportunity for our youth to pursue their dreams and return to Platteville to meaningful jobs and careers. We know the costs of post-secondary education and understand the needs of our local students.”

As noted, Isaacson, Weber and Bernhardt are visiting with a number of Platteville businesses, sharing information about gifts to the community, including opportunities for setting up scholarships. In commenting on the gift Bernhardt noted, “The Rosemeyer Management Group is dedicated to helping others reach their goals including giving back. They are leading by example with this generous gift to the PHS Scholarship Fund.”
