A local charitable organization, the DUWI Fund, is now accepting grant applications.

The DUWI is accepting applications for projects that serve the greater Darlington area.  Projects may include enhancement of parks and public spaces, historic and cultural preservation, youth activities and facilities, education, the arts, and health and human services. Applications are accepted from non-profit organizations only. Requests from individuals for personal projects or needs are not allowed under the federal tax laws.

The application deadline is October 31, 2014.

The DUWI Fund is a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin.

The application forms are available online at   Applications must submitted be using the online application form, no later than 4 p.m., October 31, 2014. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Mailed, emailed and faxed applications are not accepted.   Grantee will be notified and grants awarded during a November reception.

Successful applicants will be notified and awarded early Feb. 2015. Grantees must use their grant within one year of the award.
