Nichole Jordan

Nichole Jordan

The Outstanding Educator Award is presented to an individual teacher or team of teachers in the Monroe School District who exemplify the highest standards and practices of the teaching profession. These qualities include demonstrating distinguished performance in the classroom, professionalism, leadership, collegiality, innovation, creativity, and a commitment to students and their learning.

Nichole Jordan has taught in the School District of Monroe for 18 years. She has established high expectations for both herself and her students. She was nominated by her district colleagues who mentioned her passion for helping students learn, keeping her work current and relevant, challenging students to be the best students and citizens they can be, as well as her professionalism, innovation and her commitment to education. She is regarded by her peers and administration as a Master Educator in every sense as she is superior in her instruction, knowledge, professional demeanor, and leadership. She has an incredibly challenging job of working with struggling learners across all grade levels, supporting all classroom teachers, providing professional development, and being a district leader in both literacy and math.

Her passion, dedication and her commitment to life-long learning is exceptional. She is constantly immersing herself with various professional resources to ensure that she is up to date on current education topics and best practices. As those that work closely with her shared, “She is one of the most humble individuals that will never take full credit for anything. She is truly a team player who understands that we must work together for the success of all students.” These are respectable traits that are rare, especially when combined with extremely strong instructional practices, a professional demeanor, and a “fiery” passion for student success.

“Nichole is an amazing instructor that is very well respected by students, staff and the families that she works with,” stated Cory Hirsbrunner, Monroe School District Superintendent. “The experiences that Nichole provides her students are top notch! I feel that Nichole has made me a better educator, administrator and person due to my interactions and work with her. There are some educators who, because of their commitment to education and students, must be considered outstanding. Nichole Jordan is truly outstanding! She is overwhelmingly deserving of this prestigious award.” Three other well-deserved excellent educators received honorable mention honors; Jennifer Neuenschwander, Heather Peterson and Rachel Showers. “The Excellence in Education Board was very fortunate to have such quality nominees to choose from,” stated Cory Hirsbrunner.
