The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin (CFSW) has hired Allison Hokinson as its Director of Communications. Hokinson joins CFSW after serving as Community Relations Director at the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin, and has extensive experience in marketing and communications.
In addition to writing, graphic design, website, and social media management, Hokinson will take on the task of developing and implementing the Community Foundation’s marketing and communication policies and plans.
Originally from Western New York, Hokinson made Janesville her home in 1989, graduating from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in English and Journalism. An active community member, she has been a part of several local and community organizations, such as Theatre Unlimited, the Community Development Authority, Milton High School projects, Badger Animal Fund, and has volunteered for a multitude of community art projects and local fundraisers.
The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin serves communities in nine Southern Wisconsin counties: Crawford, Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Rock, Sauk, Vernon, and Walworth. The organization provides services to donors, non-profit organizations, and students in each of these counties.
