Hodan Center Receives Grant from DUWI

The Hodan Center of Darlington has received a $3,000 grant from the DUWI Special Projects Fund, a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin.  The Hodan Center provides a wide variety of services for adults with disabilities.  The DUWI grant will help provide work and day program activities for eight adults with disabilities who reside in the Darlington area.

Hodan Center programs and services include subcontract production jobs, food service training, work at resale retail stores, enrichment activities, adult basic education, services for seniors with disabilities, transportation services, and community employment job opportunities.  For more information about Hodan Center, please contact Tom Schraeder at (608) 987-3336 or visit the Hodan Center website at www.hodancenter.org.

The DUWI Special Projects Fund is a resource for area nonprofit organizations whose programs and services benefit the Darlington area.  Grants from the DUWI Special Projects Fund have supported the arts, education, environment, health and human service programs, and historic preservation.
