Grants Available from the Platteville Community Fund

The Platteville Community Fund invites applications for its spring 2017 grant cycle. The application deadline is Saturday, April 15, 2017. Charitable non-profit organizations and/or local government entities serving the people of the Platteville area are eligible to apply for grants; requests from individuals are not eligible.

Nathan Curry, Platteville Community Fund Advisory Board chair noted, “The monies for the spring grant cycle are available as a result of legacy gifts provided to the community through the estates of Clarence Gribble, Elinore Loveland, Margaret Keizer and Robert & Marjorie Hartshorn. In reviewing applications, our grants committee looks at the scope and potential impact of projects to address new initiatives and needs within our community. It is a great privilege to make these grant awards in remembrance of these five individuals who truly were and continue to be ‘builders’ of Platteville.”

Founded in 2002, the Platteville Community Fund is dedicated to improving the Platteville community by building a family of endowed funds designed to make grants in support projects and programs that enhance arts and culture, education, recreation, health and human services, the environment and the preservation of history. The Platteville Community Fund made its first grant of $400 in 2005. In the 11 years that it has made grants, the Platteville Community Fund has presented 213 awards totaling nearly $447,000.

Applications must be completed online and submitted online no later than 11:59 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017. Mailed, emailed or faxed copies of applications and/or incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
