Grants Available from the Platteville Community Fund

The Platteville Community Fund invites applications for its spring 2016 grant cycle.  The application deadline is Friday, April 15, 2016.  Charitable non-profit organizations and/or local government entities serving the people of the Platteville area are eligible to apply for grants; requests from individuals are not eligible.

Founded in 2002, the Platteville Community Fund is dedicated to improving the Platteville community by building a family of endowed funds designed to support projects and programs that enhance the arts and culture, education, health and human services, the environment and historic preservation. The Platteville Community Fund made its first grant of $400 in 2005. In the 11 years that it has been making grants, the Platteville Community Fund has presented 189 awards totaling just over $350,000.

Nathan Curry, Platteville Community Fund Advisory Board chair noted, “The monies for the spring grant cycle, over $30,000 in 2016, are available as a result of legacy gifts provided through the estates of Clarence Gribble, Elinore Loveland, Margaret Keizer and Robert & Marjorie Hartshorn.  In reviewing applications, our grants committee looks at the scope and potential impact of projects to address needs within our community.  It really is our honor to meet the recipients and to witness their passion, first hand, at the grants reception.”

Applications must be completed online and submitted online no later than 11:59 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016. Mailed, emailed or faxed copies of applications and/or incomplete or late applications will not be considered.  To access the application, go to, choose open grant applications from the grants dropdown menu and scroll to Platteville Community Fund.  Questions?  Both CFSW donor services rep Barb Daus ([email protected]) and CFSW grants and scholarships manager Jackie Ommodt ([email protected]) are available to assist.
