Establishing your own named charitable fund doesn’t require great wealth and it isn’t necessarily complicated. The staff of the Community Foundation will work with you every step of the way to create a fund that best achieves your charitable goals within the context of your resources and your preferences. We make it easy.

As you start, think about your charitable goals. Do you want to give back to the community by creating a fund to meet its needs? Remember or honor a loved one? Maximize tax advantages? Ensure that a favorite cause or organization will receive support far into the future? Establish a charitable identity for your corporation? Find a way to involve family members in philanthropy? We can help with all of these.

Feel free to give us a call. We are always available to meet with you to discuss your giving goals and the creation of your fund. You may also wish to discuss your plans with your professional advisor—lawyer, accountant, estate planner—to assess the tax benefits of creating a fund with the Community Foundation. Together, we can create a fund that is a match for you.
