Argyle Community Fund


The Argyle Community Fund is a permanent endowment created to enhance and improve the quality of life in the Argyle area. Each year a portion of the Fund’s earnings are returned to the community in the form of grants. Since its founding in 2000, the Argyle Community Fund has awarded nearly $95,226 in community grants. The Fund is led by a volunteer advisory board of who lead fundraising activities and determine grant disbursement.

Donations to the Argyle Community Fund are welcome at any time of the year. All gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

Once per year the advisory board awards grants to non-profit organizations, the local school district, and/or local government agencies who provide charitable programs or projects serving the Argyle community. Grants are made to support education, youth, the elderly, health care, historic preservation, the arts and the environment. They are awarded in November.

Recent Grant Awards

In 2016 the Advisory Board of the Argyle Community Fund awarded $9,340 to area nonprofits:

  • Argyle Post prom for after prom events
  • Argyle Public Library for library support
  • Driftless Area Land Conservancy for signage at the Erickson Wetlands
  • Green County Family YMCA for Argyle after school busing for swim lessons
  • Historic Argyle, Inc. for repairs to windows and doors and a back porch addition
  • Team Mathias for the Chunky Monkey event
  • Village of Argyle for a new refrigerator for the Community Building kitchen
  • Jacob’s Swag Foundation for a buddy bench at the elementary playground
