Charitable Gifting Seminar Coming to New Glarus

Charitable Giving is the topic of an upcoming free informational seminar to be held in New Glarus on Thursday, Sept. 5 .  It will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Chapel/Multi-Purpose Room at the New Glarus Home at 600 2nd Ave.    Please use the entrance/parking lot off Elm Drive.

Many people find pleasure in giving of their personal time and financial resources throughout their lives.  It is only natural to consider it in estate planning.  How to use charitable giving during your lifetime and in estate planning will be covered during the seminar.  Topics will include: tax benefits, how to pick a charity, types of gifts, wills/trusts & life insurance and where can the money come from.

Attorney Karla Ott will be presenting information on how to use charitable gifting during your lifetime and in estate planning.  Linda Gebhardt, a representative from the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, will speak on opportunities through their organization and will have testimonials from people who have recently made gifts.

This is a free seminar being sponsored by Union Bank & Trust Company and Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin.  Snacks and beverages will be provided.  Please RSVP to Amy at 608-882-5200 Ext. 1507.
