The following scholarships are open to current year high school graduates regardless of school and, in some cases, to past high school graduates.
Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church Scholarship
For current and past high school graduates. Must be an active member of the Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church and have demonstrated Christian values through church involvement and community service. Deadline: March 1.
Wilson Rawls Scholarship
For current graduates who are literary-minded and reside in the United States. Candidate must have a GPA of 3.5 throughout all four years of high school. Deadline: March 1.
For current graduates and past high school graduates. Must be an active member of the Upper Midwest Endurance & Competitive Riders Association and have had at least 25 rides of 25 miles each. Deadline: November 16.
Janesville Tool & Manufacturing, Inc.
Established to assist children of employees of Janesville Tool & Manufacturing, Inc. receive a higher education. To be eligible, students musst have a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale; participate in school and community; parental employment tenure at Janesville Tool of at least 3 years. Preference may be given to an applicant seeking an education relating to the operation of Janesville Tool & Manufacturing, Inc. Deadline: September 1.
Note: Most scholarship funds have specific eligibility requirements established by the donor, such as enrollment at a particular high school or specialization in a particular field of study. Also, most scholarship funds base selection on financial need, academic performance, extracurricular activities, volunteer/community service, or other talents.
