2011 Lancaster Grant Awards
On July 21 at the Night on the Square event, the Lancaster Community Fund awarded nearly $13,000 in grants for nine community projects:
- "Fit 4 Life-Safe 4 Life" program sponsored by Winskill Elementary School
- AEDs sponsored by Grant Regional Health Care
- Night on the Square sponsored by the City of Lancaster
- Enhancement of the Schrieiner Exhibit sponsored by the Grant County Historical Society
- Food pantry sponsored by the Lancaster Association of Churches
- Opera for the Young sponsored by Lancaster Community Schools
- Whiteboard system for St. Clement School Youth and agriculture sound system sponsored by UW-Extension of Grant County
- Conference for donor services representative sponsored by the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin
About
The Lancaster Community Fund is a permanent unrestricted charitable endowment dedicated to serving the Lancaster community. The Fund provides means for individuals, organizations, and businesses to support their charitable interests. Annually, a portion of the Fund's earnings are given back to the community in the form of grants that support the elderly, historic preservation, the arts, the environment, and education. Since its founding in 1999, the Lancaster Fund, combined with the Schacht Family Fund, has given back more than $75,000 to the community.
An eight-member volunteer advisory board is responsible for fundraising and the grant distribution process.

Donations to the Lancaster Community Fund are welcome at any time of the year. All gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Visit the Ways to Give section of this website for information on planning your gift, or you can make an online donation.
Grants
The Lancaster Fund accepts grant applications in the spring from non-profit organizations, the local school district, and/or local government agencies providing charitable programs or projects that better the community. Awards are made in July at the annual Night on the Square event.
