2011 Darlington Grant Awards
In celebration of 10 years of building local philanthropy, on November 29, 2011, the Edgerton Fund awarded five grants totaling $4,740:
- Pier to be installed at the Fish Pond, sponsored by the City of Edgerton
- Edgerton Drama Club
- Catch the Reading FeVer program sponsored by the Edgerton School District
- Connecting Community Children Through Technology, a program that uses webcams and Skype to connect students at Yahara and Community elementary schools
- Breakfast Program sponsored by Edgerton Community Outreach
About
Established in 2001, the Edgerton Community Fund is a permanent financial resource for the Edgerton community and a means for Edgerton supporters to match their philanthropy to community needs. Each year a portion of the Fund's earnings are given back to the community in the form of grants. Since its founding, the Fund has given back more than $23,000 to the Edgerton community. The Fund is advised by volunteer board members who take responsiblity for fundraising and grant distribution.

Donations to the Edgerton Community Fund are welcome at any time of the year. All gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Visit the Ways to Give section of this website for information on planning your gift, or you can make an online donation.
Grants
Once per year the advisory board awards grants to non-profit organizations, the local school district, and/or local government agencies providing charitable programs or projects serving the good of the community.
