The Advisory Board of the Darlington Community Fund has approved grants to area organizations serving the needs of Darlington. The 2010 Grants Reception was held at
Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County. Grants were presented to the following organizations:

Families First New Beginnings of Lafayette County

“Reading-Feeding Body, Mind & Soul”

Darlington Chamber/Mainstreet

 “Tunes at Twilight”

Lafayette County Historical Society

“Electrical Lighting Upgrade”

Lafayette County Association for Home and Community Education”

“Wisconsin Bookworms”

 
 
 

The 2009 Grants Reception was held at the Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County.  Grants were presented to the following organizations:  Families First New Beginnings of Lafayette County, Darlinton Chamber/Mainstreet, Lafayette County Historical Society, and Lafayette County Human Services.








 
The Darlington Community Fund is a means for current and former residents to build a permanent unrestricted endowment to serve the area. Its growth and success depends on people like you who share a commitment to invest in the community of Darlington to meet charitable, educational, historical and cultural needs.

The fund works through grants that are determined by an advisory board consisting of volunteers from the Darlington area. The board decides upon grants that meet the requirement of being for a non-profit, charitable organization and serving the good of the community. Click here for a grant application.
 

DUWI Fund Grant Presentation

Wednesday, February 24th the DUWI Fund held a grant awards reception at the

1st Banking Center Darlington Community Room. Through generous gifts by area citizens, awards totaling more than $10,000 were made to 18 community organizations.

These grants were made available from the DUWI Fund, of the Darlington Community Fund, a component of the Community Foundation of Southern WI

 

   A highlight of the Darlington Community Fund is the Excellence in Education Fund that focuses on inspiring teachers and students at all levels to accomplish their very best by encouraging and promoting creative and innovative educational programs and recognizing and rewarding outstanding achievement.

   The Darlington Excellence in Education Fund is independent from the School District of Darlington and is guided by a board of advisors consisting of volunteer community leaders, business partners and educators.

   Donations to the funds can be made in many forms including cash, credit card, stock, real estate or property. All donations large or small are graciously appreciated, tax deductible, and will go to good use as a part of the Darlington Community Fund.
