Edna Anderson Alumni Scholarship
For a Roosevelt Elementary School alumni. Selection will be based on need, character, scholarship and good citizenship. Student must have at least a 2.0 GPA.

Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Janesville Chapter Scholarship

Student should demonstrate academic excellence and commitment to the field of study. Preference may also be given for financial need.

George K. Steil, Sr. Scholarship

Student should be in the top 25 percent of class ranking. Preference will be given for financial need and the intent to study law.

George and Harriet Christopherson Scholarship

For students who will be attending a technical school. Student must have a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Geraldine Hedberg Scholarship

For students who are planning to attend an accredited college, university, or technical school. Criteria includes financial need and class ranking. Preference may be given to financially needy students who show untapped potential.

Janesville Multicultural Teacher Opportunities Scholarship

To assist persons of color who intend to teach in the School District of Janesville. Applicants must be identified as African American, Asian, Latino, or Native American on school registration forms. Must pursue a career in the field of education and K4-12 Wisconsin teacher certification. Must submit two letters of recommendations from adults other than relatives and be willing to sign an agreement stating they agree to apply for employment within the School District of Janesville. If offered a position, applicants must be willing to complete three years of successful employment.
For graduates to attain post-high school education. Preference may be given for academic excellence and/or financial need. 
For students pursuing a career in the education field.
Student must demonstrate leadership qualities and have participated in high school athletics.
For students who attended Lincoln Elementary School who intend to study agriculture, education, or health care. Student must be in the top 50 percent of class ranking.
Student must be pursuing an education degree and be in the top 25 percent of class ranking.

Rock County Agricultural Scholarship
 (Application due February 1st)
This scholarship was established to assist young people graduating from Rock County high schools who have been active in agricultural programs and projects.
For students or adults wanting to learn or improve welding skills. Application is open to anyone living in Rock County. Scholarships will be given for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and/or equipment required for courses at the educational institution.
Student should be in top 10-20 percent of class ranking and must demonstrate good citizenship, school involvement, and a willingness to broaden academic horizons. Preference may be given for financial need
Student must be pursuing a major/minor in foreign language.
Student must have a 3.0 GPA or better, be among the top 20 students in the graduating class, have engaged in community service of a significant nature, be a person of good character as shown through letters of recommendation (only one may be from a teacher or school administrator), have demonstrated financial need, and provide a written statement of their goals. Scholarship is renewable up to four years. 
For students pursuing a career in the education field. Must have a 3.0 GPA.
For literary-minded students attending a four-year college or university. Provide three letters of recommendation, one each from a teacher, guidance counselor, and employer or community leader. Submit a written essay of 200-400 words in length describing future education, personal life, community service, and career goals.
Established to provide post-high school educational opportunities for young people from Janesville, Wis. Student should have at least a 2.5 GPA, recommendation from teachers, coach and/or school administrator is welcome, must demonstrate active interest in community and school activities, and preference will be given to students who have been active in Youth Baseball of Janesville.


The following scholarships use Craig High School's local application form. 
This one application will be used by the Craig Scholarship Committee for consideration for all scholarships listed below.  Please complete only one copy of this form and return it to your guidance counselor to be eligible for these scholarships.
 
Alvah Lloyd & Lulu Lloyd Scholarship:
For financially needy students to pursue a higher education. Guidelines include: scholastic standing and ability, character, and financial need.

Amy Elizabeth Houseman Memorial Scholarship:
For students who plan to attend Blackhawk Technical College. Preference given to a student seeking a marketing profession.

Cecelia Howe Scholarship:
Established for graduating seniors from Craig High School intending to pursue a career in education

Elks Club Scholarship in Memory of Leon Glowacki:
Established for graduating seniors of Janesville high schools. Financial need, scholastic achievement, and good citizenship are determining factors. All things being equal for applicants, preference may be given to a child of an Elks Club member.

Howard Peterson Scholarship:
For students from Janesville, Wis. interested in pursuing a career in the building trades. May be used for technical schools. Preference may be given to students who have an interest in masonry and who demonstrate a financial need. May be renewable for four years.

rene Hoyt Education Scholarship:
Established to assist Craig High School graduates who intend to become elementary teachers. Preference may be given for community service, especially as it relates to a student's involvement with young children, financial need, and academic performance.

James F. Adams Construction Scholarship:
For students who demonstrate enthusiasm and interest in one or more areas of building trades.

John S. Scott Scholarship:

Established to assist minority students receive a higher education. Guidelines include racial minority origin, a 2.5 GPA, good character and participation in extra-curricular activities. Preference may be given to students with demonstrated financial need.

Joseph N. Melan College Scholarship:

Student must excel in school and would not have sufficient resources to pursue post-high school education.

Karl A. and Bernice E. Samek Scholarship:

Established to provide scholarships for worthy graduating seniors of Janesville public high schools to further their education at a college or technical school.

Karl Southworth Memorial Scholarship:

Established to provide for post-high school educational opportunities for young people from Janesville, Wis. Guidelines include: Top 30 percent class ranking, self-motivating, and have demonstrated an involvement in a variety of school and/or community activities. Preference for financial need may be considered.

Kenneth F. & Grace E. Bick Scholarship:
Established to provide scholarships to Janesville public school students planning to attend a college, junior college, trade, or religious training school. 

Norman W. and Janice Graper Scholarship:
Established to provide for post-high school educational opportunities for young people graduating from a Janesville public high school who will be attending an accredited college or university. Student should be in the top 25 percent of their class ranking and must be intending to pursue a career in elementary education.

Philip McQuade Memorial Scholarship:
Established to assist graduates of Janesville high and parochial schools pursue a higher education in the field of engineering. Guidelines include top 20 percent of class, church involvement, and intention to study the field of engineering.

Richard F. Schwarer Scholarship:
Established to assist graduating seniors receive a post-high school education. Must have financial need.

Robert C. Lovejoy Memorial Scholarship:
Established for graduates of Janesville high schools who demonstrate leadership, service to others, and involvement in their school and the larger community. 

Timmy Mork Cullen Scholarship:
Established for students attending an accredited college, university, or technical college who intend to study the field of engineering. Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate community service activities or who have held a job while attending high school, but this is not a restriction.

Jeremiah Campbell Scholarship:
Student must have a 2.5 GPA and a written essay with responses to the following questions: "When you get your senior yearbook, you see the description 'Most Kind Hearted,' how do you think you obtained that dedication?" and "What are your life goals? What would you do if something happened that you found out you were unable to reach them?" Preference will be given to students who demonstrate enthusiasm for and have actively participated in martial arts training.

John and Jo Draeger Scholarship:
Established to assist a Janesville high school student interested in studying mechanical or electrical engineering. Student must have a 3.5 GPA.  Preference will be given to a student planning to attend the University of Wisconsin or another Wisconsin institution. If a student cannot be identified with an interest in mechanical or electrical engineering, a related engineering field may be considered. A written statement, "Reasons for wanting to pursue engineering" should be included with application.
